LEAN & GREEN SLOW COOKER CHILI

INGREDIENTS

  • 25 oz Lean Ground Beef
  • 2 – 14.5oz cans of Natural tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup Natural tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Green Bell Peppers finely diced
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 11/2 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 3/4 tsp Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a pan, brown the ground beef.
  2. In a slow cooker, combine all of the ingredients.
  3. Cook on LOW for 8 hours.

  1. The Lean and Green Chili recipe calls for 2 cans of natural tomato sauce, then again anther 1/2 cup of natural tomato sauce. Is this correct? Is it just to keep measurements accurate?

  2. Yes, but you didn’t answer the question. Is it correct that you need 2 cans plus 1/2C of Tomato Sauce or did you mean to have a different ingredient?

  3. I tried this tonight and thought it was delicious! And how great to have four more meals in the freezer! My question is, does the serving count as both lean and green?
