Lean and Green Palmini Spaghetti Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 can of Palmini PastaÂ
- 3 – 4 oz.* ground turkey breast, cooked
- 1/2 – 3/4 oz.* Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 8 oz total: chopped tomato, tomato sauce, and veggies of your choice
- 1/8 tsp each: garlic powder, onion powder, salt, oregano, basil OR 3/4 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/4 tsp Montreal Steak seasoning   Â
- Garnish (optional): fresh basilÂ
Lean and Green Palmini Spaghetti Recipe
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat and add the ground turkey. Cook until fully browned.
- Once the turkey is cooked, add the ingredients for the 8 oz. “sauce” (such as chopped tomatoes, tomato sauce, and/or veggies) and spices to the pot. Let simmer for at least 20 minutes, occasionally stirring, to allow the flavors to develop.
- While the sauce simmers, prepare the Palmini by soaking it in almond milk for 20 minutes or rinsing it under water for 5 minutes. This will help to neutralize the natural flavors.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil, then add the Palmini. Boil for 5-10 minutes, depending on your desired texture (al dente or softer).
- Once cooked, drain the Palmini and pat it dry to remove any excess water.
- Add the Palmini to the sauce and let simmer on low heat for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve warm and top with grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Enjoy!
